Try your luck at the hill top of the hard rocks or in the dirt at a depth of 17 meters. Cut a sapphire by yourself in our cutting workshop. Visit the largest national fossil geopark in China. All in a 7 days’ gemstone safari to Shandong China.

Program

Day 1 arrival at Shanghai and traveling from Shanghai to the sapphire mine
Day 2 visit of the giant volcano craters where the sapphires are formed
Day 3 visit of the sapphire mining operation and find your own sapphire
Day 4 learn how to cut a sapphire in the cutting workshop
Day 5 visit to the largest fossil site and mineral market in China
Day 6 visit to the ancient Chinese handicrafts workshop and folk arts performance
Day 7 rest and departure from sapphire mine to Shanghai for international flights

Total 7 days.
The package covers the hotel, food, round trip air tickets between Shanghai and sapphire mine, local transport in the sapphire mine and a free gift package.
Rough and cut sapphires can be brought with you upon departure from China. Fossils are not allowed to export from China.
You are advised to bring your working clothes, sunglass and sun hat.
